“Megan Reddy was a lifesaver for my daughter. As a 6th grader, new to middle school, she was overwhelmed by the increased demands and expectations placed on her. She felt defeated and we watched our daughter’s confidence, as a student, slip away. Luckily, a guidance counselor recommended Megan to us. She began working with our daughter and we immediately saw a change. Megan provided her, not with the answers, but rather the study tools and organization skills to succeed on her own. Our daughter started growing as a student and believing in her abilities again, which we all know is half the battle. Megan provides a safe and nurturing environment for kids who may feel timid and embarrassed in their general classrooms to ask questions and take risks. She identifies and draws on a child’s strengths and helps to expand them, all the while,  providing strategies to assist and address areas of weakness. As a former teacher in the Fairfield schools, Megan has a strong understanding of the curriculum as well as the expectations on these children. She was happy to consult with me and help this newbie parent navigate the complexities of course selection for my current thriving high schooler. I can say without hesitation that as a family, we are truly indebted to Megan for all she has given to our daughter.”

“We have a 12-year old who has been struggling with reading for a few years now and it has been a challenge accessing resources for him.  It is frightening for a parent to be in a position where your child is struggling and you don't know how to help. Like all parents, we want the best for our children. After discovering he had some processing and executive functioning issues, someone gave me Megan's number. After speaking to her for only a few minutes I knew she would be a good fit for Nick. Megan has not only helped Nick learn some reading strategies that have increased his fluency and comprehension, but she also has helped increase his executive functioning skills which has helped with time management and organization. As a result, Nick's writing has improved, he is able to better understand word problems in math and he is even starting to enjoy reading books! Megan's work is not limited to the one hour sessions. Her experience in the school system is a huge asset as she is well versed in helping access services within the school system and she also has assisted us in developing good study habits at home. They say it takes a village and we're so grateful that Megan is part of ours!"

“When we first met Megan, my daughter was struggling with executive function skills and ADHD. Megan had the extraordinary ability to engage my daughter and meet her where she was. She was able to get her to focus on tasks and develop skills while at the same time building a personal connection. My daughter genuinely enjoyed the time they spent together. When we first discussed getting a tutor, she put up a fight. But once she got to know Megan, she never gave us a hard time about going to her sessions. Megan coached my daughter on how to break down tasks into manageable chunks and helped her improve her writing skills. As a family, we really needed to reduce school related stress. Megan was able to coordinate with teachers on assignments and make sure my daughter wasn’t falling behind in her classes. She provided us with weekly updates on her progress and was really invested in her success. There is no doubt that my daughter would not have made it through high school without Megan. She has a true gift. She is patient and enthusiastic and is somehow able to get kids excited and engaged. We were truly lucky to find Megan and she remains close to my daughter to this day.”

“My son, Alp, worked with Megan during middle school and high school. We hired her to help him with his writing, overall academics and study skills. When Alp was in 7th grade, a terrible tragedy struck our family. My son was only 12 years old. He struggled terribly, not only academically, but also emotionally. During those difficult years, Megan wasn’t only his private tutor, but also like a second mother to him. She helped him in ways that we as a family can never repay her for. Even though Alp struggled with homework and was having difficulty staying on top of his work at times, Megan always remained positive and encouraging. She gave him pointers and helped him organize his folders, learn how to better manage his time and even helped him write emails to his teachers when needed. Today Alp is 20 years old and a successful sophomore at Bryant University. He has become quite the confident and mature young man that both his mother and father are proud of. He is doing great in university! We cannot thank Megan Reddy enough for her amazing teaching skills and kind and loving spirit. Any family would be lucky to have her as their private tutor. She is and will forever remain as part of the Berkmen-Tanrikulu family.”

“I can honestly say that Megan changed my daughter’s entire academic trajectory during her four years in high school. She worked very closely with her every week and helped her gain the study skills and overall academic confidence that she needed to be successful. I watched her go from a reluctant writer to an AP level writer who, by senior year, scored a 5 on both her AP English and History exams. My once shy and intimidated daughter not only thrived but excelled under Megan’s encouraging and calming wing. My husband and I are eternally grateful to her. She truly has a special gift with these kids.”

“Megan has an amazing ability to engage and encourage every type of learner, from the most reluctant and avoidant learner to the go-getter, AP everything learner. Her warm and engaging personality allows her to connect with tween and teens in a way that makes her stand out from the others in her field. My daughter genuinely enjoys her sessions. I’m so grateful that we were referred to Megan. It’s the best investment we have made.”

“Megan Reddy has done an amazing job helping our 9th grade daughter in both English and Global Studies.  She helps her organize her assignments for the week and is working closely with her on fine tuning her writing skills.  Megan was a teacher in the Fairfield Public Schools and really understands the curriculum and what is expected. Our daughter is having a great first year of high school with little to no stress.  She is a much more confident student thanks to Megan”.

“Megan is a hero in our home! Because I'm his mom, it was hard for me to help my son, AJ, with his Language Arts homework without a lot of stress and resentment. Megan is able to connect, support and collaborate with him on a different level. His grades have improved and, most important, his confidence has skyrocketed. I could never thank Megan enough!”

“My son started working with Megan last summer because he was struggling with his organizational skills and writing. Since last summer he has improved so much and now has confidence in his writing and his grades have really improved!”
